Need a MERCHANT ACCOUNT or Online Gateway to Accept CREDIT Cards?

There are many different ways to accept credit cards through your shopping cart and below is a diagram showing you three different options. If you are serious about doing business on the internet and you want to feel secure that you have the optimum "seller protection" then a Merchant Account is the way to go. By paying a little extra to have a dedicated Merchant Account, you can have the peace of mind that a personal Merchant Account Agent is working with you.

To make the whole process even easier, an online gateway is recommended because the whole transaction from start to finish will be completely automatic.

Your clients will be able to purchase directly from you without having to go through paypal. If there's a dispute, you can deal directly wit

h your merchant account agent and not get lost in the 'paypal shuffle'.

Below is the process from the point of sale all the way to your bank account.

Please note: We recommend MerchantSource, an Authorize.net Agent. They provide a complete solution to the entire Ecommerce Process for those who don't have a Merchant Account or Online Gateway. Authorize.net is the highest possible bit secure and encrypted gateway not only for the customer’s protection but also for the merchants.

		Your website contains one or more pages describing your company and your products. There will be a link to your shopping cart.
		Your Shopping Cart
		This is a secure online catalog where customers can see your products and initiate a purchase by entering their credit card info

PayPal		-No Gateway- Credit Card Payment With Simple Validation Only		Payment Gateway (**we recommend Authorize.Net)
No setup fees, monthly fees, or gateway fees. Transaction fees only.		No Gateway cost but you still have to pay for either leased equipment or a virtual terminal to communicate with your Merchant Account		Although there is a small fee for a gateway, this turnkey solution is the easiest most seamless way to accept credit cards.
PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account. No setup fees,monthly fees, gateway fees. Transaction fees only.		When you receive an order, you notify your merchant account through leased equipment or a software interface provided by the Merchant Company. There is a fee for this equipment or software.		This is a bridge from your website to the credit card processor (Merchant Account). This gateway automatically takes the order info to your merchant account for credit card validation. There are additional fees for this service. Fees vary depending upon which company you choose
		Credit Card Merchant Account
		The merchant account is responsible for authorizing the credit card submission and placing money in your bank account. An approval code from them is as good as money.
		Your Bank
		This is your bank account. Money from Credit Card purchases are placed in your account in 2-3 business days
